Don’t click “unsubscribe” email links or any links in emails. If you want to unsubscribe your email from the newsletter, type the company website in the web browser to log into your account to unsubscribe.

Be careful of links and attachments sent through emails or SMS or posted online on social media sites. Such links and attachments may lead to phishing pages or install malware onto your device without your permission.

Tell your friends, family and colleagues not to send you email links.

Never reply to unsolicited emails or SMS. Responses to such emails or SMS could be used by fraudsters to socially engineer information or trick users into performing unwanted actions.

Spam

Receive overload of spam in email? Delete the email account.

Email Management

Use separate email addresses for different parts of your life (protonmail = good). Use secret email for money, bank & shares. One email for password managers. Another email for close loved ones — family only. Another email for friends. Keep colleagues to work email only. Another email for acquaintances, Another email for signing up newsletters, Another email for signing up physical retail stores loyalty cards.

Delete unknown emails without reading. Set up your email, so you only receive emails from email addresses in your contact book app.

Keep the Google account email address linked to all your personal data on Google drive a secret. Tell no one. Not even your wife or mom. Don’t use the email to send emails to anyone. Remember to set the default to compose new email account as the other dirty email account.

In Microsoft Outlook settings > Select “Empty Deleted Items” Folder when you exit from Outlook each time.
