Lifehacks for Pleasurable Home Living

Home toilet
Melbourne's public toilet, even in the suburbs, has a warm toilet
tap water.
Why doesn't Singapore have warm water for its toilets in
shopping malls and other public facilities by default when you turn on the tap?
Why not make future toilets with both paper towels dispensers
and hand dryers?
Out of toilet paper? Use tissue paper instead.
Build wall urinal using stainless steel is the best. There will
be no urine drips on the wall. It is also suitable for toddlers and adults.
Using existing technology. Install closed circuit human thermal
sensor (no cam) in the toilet. Toilet door auto-locks when closed. When the
sensor detects no human thermal heat in the bathroom. Door unlocks. Cut energy
and time waste to turn into profits. All humans use restroom. Think 500
years later. Perhaps sell as Sci-fi plot?
Come out of the mall's toilet to see wall arrow sign: "Shops
--> ". Extremely helpful.
Walking from the toilet's hand dryer to sink = movement waste =
higher fall risk.
Problem: after users wash hand from the toilet sinks and their hands are dripping wet. Some toilet design has the hand dryer behind the sinks where users have to move hands across the floor to the dryer, thus making the floor slippery.
If >100 users do this daily, the floor will be wet, leading to fall injury and lawsuits.
Why not build future toilets similar to Melbourne's toilets that
have the sink and dryer next to each other so the wet hands will not hover over
the floor? For existing toilets, why not add a giant anti-slip mat that cost
less than $100 to reduce safety risks?
This will eliminate/reduce the labour cost of cleaners mopping
the floor so you can absorb the savings for charity.
People after toileting don't wash hands and then use dirty fingers
with invisible pee or poop microbes to touch and open the toilet door handle.
Mall's toilet out of toilet paper. The cleaner is not around. Other
cubicles occupied. Install toilet paper dispenser packaged in plastic. Use
credit or debit card to purchase.
Use the toilet at the top floor of malls as it's cleaner.
Wet hands wipe across the t-shirt chest while walking out of the
toilet saves a year off your lifetime and is suitable for the environment as
this doesn't use paper towels.
Anti-slip mat below the mall's toilet sink reduces fall risks.
Toilet sign:
"Please shake off the excess water into the sink instead of the floor."
"Please take your belongings." sign at the urinal.
"Beware of wet floor" sign next to the male toilet.
"Did you leave something behind" sign on top of the hand
dryer toilet.
Pack toilet rolls in a clean plastic bag. Break up in 3 folded pieces per wipe. Public toilet paper subject to malicious contamination risk.
Why not install long hooks above men's toilet urinals so men can
hang bags and shopping bags to avoid their purchases touching the floor filled
with pee and invisible microbes. This will max a pleasant shopping experience. Thus, customers will buy more to max stores' profits for charity donations.
Enter toilet first thing; you see = living wall.
Don't flush the public toilet after use to reduce the risk of
disease and germs from touching the public flush button. Why not make future
toilet bowls with a sensor linked to it so after doing your business and you
leave the toilet; the sensor detects no obstruction in front of it then it auto
flushes the toilet?
Men urinal = anti-smell pink mat.
Dig a hole in the backyard ground, put a bucket, put a plastic
bag into the bucket.
Poop & pee into the plastic bag, clear the plastic bag away every day—a $2 toileting system for your toddler up to 12 years old. Increase hygiene standards for the third world & developing countries?
Why not install a "toilet paper roll" vending machine
outside public park toilets where people can only pay by debit or credit card
PayPass or pay wave?
Toilet bowl will flush automatically when hands are washed.
Translate water savings into your charity donations by
installing this toilet sign.
Why not install toilets with a half flush system plus sign on top of each toilet bowl to encourage users to flush the toilet only using half flush for a pee?
Save time and money as well as preserving relationship harmony
by having all men in the family to sit on the toilet seat to pee. This will
prevent urine stains on the floor, and they need to clean up the urine stains.
So don't need to keep lifting the toilet seat cover and put it down again
that waste time and energy.
Could the library install a "quote of the day" poster on top of
the toilet hand dryer?
People drying their hands have a minute to read quotes that may change their lives.
Love integrative design of toilet sign with lighted arrow
I love how the arrow is of the right size that direct shoppers to the location of the toilet from a distance.
Home study
Study room's tabletop drawer compartment only for a wallet,
phone and keys.
Wear jeans with pocket hole face upwards at home, so you have
your phone with you at all times
Buy scotch tape to seal envelope is cheaper than glue, but maybe
more expensive if you need to buy scissors.
The bedroom needs rubbish bin with a lid to avoid the room looking
untidy or convert your study table bottom drawer into a waste bin, so there's
no bin within view when visitors that enter your room to see your dirty tissues.
Your room should only have things you love and brings joy.
The white light bulb as study lamp if it is too intense, why not move
the lamp further away?
Problem with pen cap hooked to the lanyard is that the pen is
upside down, so the ink is at the bottom when you write, there is no ink flow
out or it is faded ink when you write.
Use 3m velcro removable adhesive on small battery book lamp with
gooseneck - stick above the head when sitting on the sofa for pleasurable
reading experience as usually living room lights doesn't shine on the book.
Transparent glass with small flip cap mouth-sized bottle mouth
is the best for water point in your study room upstairs to eliminate the step
to check whether the bottle is empty or full that needs refilling.
Put the light on the left side of the table so you can read
easily and that the light doesn't shine on the back of your right hand to
obstruct your view of your writing (provided that you are right-handed)
Home shoeroom
Put all your clean socks in a box in the shoeroom next to your
shoe. After you reached home from the outdoors, take off your footwear, put
your dirty socks in a different coloured box for laundry wash. Next day before
going out, take a sock from the clean socks box before wearing your shoes.

one through the house and open the door, many hassle steps to the bin at the
backyard, roll the recycle and waste wheelie bins to the front of the garage
door.
Home pets
Free-range dried chicken tenders for pets.
Grey pallets make it difficult to view the grey hamsters. Given
that Singapore sells delicious green coloured spinach noodles. Why not have pet
safe green pallets that create a relaxing contrast with the hamsters colour?
Pets store door window sign. Vaccinated and leashed pets
welcome.
Exotic pet shops scorpion tank sign product name needs to say
"non-poisonous scorpions" to max sales. Pet shop shouldn't have
a scorpion display tank with side sliding entry/exit window. Scorpions could
scurry out. Scorpions should be housed in tall top opening ceiling sliding door

one and try, don't buy a lot, hard to refund later.
Clip & tuck black rubbish bag between your pants belt and
your body as you pack the house so you can quickly dump the rubbish away.
Use multiple small drawers instead of one big drawer for
clothing reduce energy expenditure in pulling out drawer = less anxiety and
stress. Label instead.
Marie kondo tidying up techniques works for me, albeit I may add that one must also decide if the storage goods, your house and the people in your life, do they spark joy? If not, say goodbye to them.
Quoting from Kondo, M, 2014 [1]:
When tidying, divide things into six types of value
Material
Functional
Informational
Emotional
Rarity
Joy
Divide all your books into piles: 1. Rare first edition books 2. Sentimental gifts from others 3. Books that will make you money in the near future 4. Give away the rest to family, friends and charity retail stores. Go digital.

more water and electricity.
Business people know this, so they charge a premium for models

others to pay upfront.

If you only have access to half the clotheslines. Hang your
first batch of washed laundry for the morning. It will dry. Then you hang your
second batch of laundry for the afternoon.

shirts only - check iron for marks before using.
